Is there anyone here that works at a Dodge dealer that can lookup a wiring question for me on TechAuthority since they have not released the service manuals yet(if ever) for the 2011 trucks.

Kevin

I don't have a login, but I can get a co-worker to look it up. What do you need? Shoot me an email bellinghamnick (at) gmail.com

I need to hook up a rally computer to my new truck. In my old 2001 I tapped into the "vehicle speed sensor signal" wire coming out of the ABS unit (pin 12). What pin is the "vehicle speed sensor signal" on the 2011 ABS unit?

Kevin

Hmm... Do I know you? I was involved with pro rally out there from the mid 90's until my recent move to FL. I used to work stages with Diane Duran and more recently I was service crew for Jamie (215) and Gary (288).

I'll look up the VSS pin tomorrow.

I don't know if you do or not, I used to do radio support for the semi-pro rallies down in Shelton area. I started running sweep for the Alcan5000 in 2002. I have a year to get the 2011 truck ready for the winter Alcan next February.

Thanks for look the VSS up for me.

Without your VIN this is my best guess. The 2010+ wiring diagrams are now VIN specific, but most things are pretty close not using the VIN. It shows two vehicle speed sensor outputs from the ABS module, pins 41 and 42, DG/YL and DG/WT

41 B22 VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL 1 22 DG YL

42 B222 VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL 2 22 DG WT

I should have figured that you might need the VIN - 3D3Y3CL1BG564676

If you can double check and see if things are different or not and let me know. I'll checkout these two and see if they work out.

I know that some of the wiring is different between the 2010 and 2011 trucks, I found that out when I was installing the tailgate lock and I had Rev1 of the install instructions and things did not look right. Found Rev3 and then things worked.

Looks like he got you covered. I work at a Subaru shop but a couple of folks have Dodge logins because we've got Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Subaru and a used car lot all bunched together.

I don't think we've ever really spoken, was your old truck green with white door number backers (or something, it's a bit fuzzy).

I never made it to the Alcan, but I know a few people who run it. Small world...

Back in the 80's when I start working the rallies I had a blue 1974 Ramcharger and then I got a blue 1987 Ramcharger. I work mountian top radio so I was one of the first in and last out.

If you're interested in the Alcan the next event is Feb 2012, you can check things out at Alcan Rally information center.

Ah, yeah I don't think I ever worked anywhere near mountain top... I've been among the last out before though, getting a flat on the trailer after leaving service en route to the Brooklyn tavern tends to do that for ya.

I live down in Florida now, it's a bit far of a drive for me now.

In 2004 we had a husbun and wife team come up from Florida and they did the summer rally on Suzuki 400 bikes. We've had others come from Europe and all over the US, check out some of the past entry list.

Anyone here able to help me out with getting my fog lights activated for my 2006 Dodge? I installed them myself, I just need to get them activated and I guess I have to take it to the Dodge dealer for this. I am in Orange County, California. Thanks!
