DC break-up eminent?

What are you doing for MLK day?

just. kinda currious to know if any fellow rammers out there doin what I am,the future of natural gas is huge and man I got in on the ground floor of a fantastic set up. I am told that wyoming is the only state that is increasing gas volumns as a whole in fact we are on the rise so fast that wyo is making up for all the other states losses. just currious as I love my job. and I am not even sick or insane. I ate at the Burito Joint Friday, and Saturday, had Taco Bell Sunday, and today ate at Aculpoco Joes! A shot of Jim Beam should be enough to get the sour gases rolling #ad

No, I'm with PPL. We control and maintain a six inch from Douglas to Borger. And a products from Borger to Denver. Just a grunt,a little operations, and a lot of shovels.

Howdy fellas, I to work in pipeline. Handle mostly crude systems. Farthest point north for me is Fryburg North Dakota. Farthest point south is Houston Texas. Did operate a CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) line out of Cortez Colorado to West Texas (Denver City). We sold that line effective Jan. 01.

Whitmore, You are correct about Wyoming increasing their rates of delivery. But they are far from the largest. Deepwater lousiana and Mississippi, as I understand, move between 1. 5 and 2. 0 BILLION standard cubic feet a DAY. This of course is combined major pipeline systems (two 20", one 24" and one 36"). The 36" and one of the 20" systems were controlled from were I work. The company I work for controls all of their pipeline systems (98%) from Houston.

I did not operate any of the Natural gas lines. My stuff is crude only with small amount of gathering systems and 3 large tank farms.

Natural gas is the future. If you are in on the ground floor up there that is great!!! As soon as most of the infrastructure is in place, I would bet that one of the super major oils (ExxonMobil, Chevron/Texaco, BPAmoco, Shell) will come calling. The oils are going back in the Gulf of Mexico and restarting old wells that were drilled for oil 25 yrs ago and producing gas now. They can't lay pipe fast enough.

Good luck!!!!

The area where I live in Texas, western Denton County, northern Tarrant, and Wise County is a natural gas production area. Since the price increases in natural gas, the major production company here, Mitchell Energy, has brought in 8 more drilling rigs and is laying pipelines connecting the new wells like spider webs. Mitchell Energy is expanding its natural gas processing plant in Bridgeport, Texas to handle the increased production. With the recent higher prices it has become profitable to bring in many more of the smaller producing wells. The supply and demand forces of the market DO work IF the government stays out of the way.

Hey Whitmore, I grew up in the Conroe, Texas oilfields in the 50s and then the price of natural gas was so cheap, the sour gas was flared off at the wells because it was too expensive to process. Sour gas was just a waste product to the oil production process. The night skies glowed orange because of all the sour gas being flared off at the wells.

hey its a small world out there aint it,this pocket we are in is proven to 7 trillion reserves and they still aint found the end of it,this gas is said to be the most hazzardous in the world ,it is66%methane 22%h2s & 12%co2 and comes in at 250 to 300 degrese so it quite a challange to get that 66% of the good stuff out and to sales, I am an operator and spend time at the control boards as well as rotating outside in order to give my hemmoroids a break and get some excercize, the thing I like most is 7 on & 7 off,we do 12 hr shifts,a 7 day vacation gives me 21 off, #ad
its great. the work force building our new plant is to peak at 600 this spring, thats alot of dudes but its a big job too,340 million dollar job and that dont count what they are spendin on wells, Kevin 2001-2500 eth dee

You talk about cosmic justice. I finally bought five acres up behind Trinidad Colo.
Going to retire on it in five years. Two months after I buy it I get a letter from Primero Gas,right of way agreement... Thats right they put a 16" right down the edge of my property. The verbal agreement is they will reveiw my resume for part time work in five years. Lots of coal bed methane up there.

champane flight, there is alot of coal bed methane wells just east of me about 150 miles, I read in the state paper all the time about all the trouble they are havin with the massive volumns of h2o that gets pumped out of the well, this allows the methane to release and come to the surface, seems all the h2o is causin all kinds of erosion and big bogs and everything is saturated, ranchers are sayin that they cant get around to well and that the quality of the h2o is not always so good, the deal with the deq and epa is that there are so many wells and so many being drilled that they cant keep up with all of it,so I guess what im sayin is look your land over real good and try to see what the future is goin to do to you,if they got an easment than nothin you can do to stop em,but at the same time this may end up to be a money maker for you, keep an open mind and good luck #ad

Yes sir Whit,They are getting into trouble already up there. They had a dry year and some of the water wells were drying up. My land is above all the NG wells and no one has had any problems yet. You know the pipeline biss,if they want a pipeline they get a pipeline. I took the cash and the offer of emploment. Of course I made sure they got enough depth and there existing pipelines had a good maint record. About all you can do.
Will put in water well next spring, will see how it goes. Neighbor is 125' all the watr he wants.
