Competition Rural Retreat truck pull July 1st

I believe they have a truck show including drag races at Firebird Raceway, just south of Phoenix, occasionally.

Not too much going on in AZ. regarding diesel trucks. Lots of trucks but, no events.

You may want to consider some of the CA & CO events. They're pretty good. Then there's May Madness, in the Las Vegas/Parumph area.

If you ever get a chance to go to IN, there's an event going on this week-end, Thunder at IN. Raceway Park (IRP) & the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza in Terra Haute, IN. towards the end of Aug. Both of those are "very serious" events drawing a crowd from all over the country. 600-800 trucks or people at these events. I've been to both & they're GREAT!!!

There is a Diesel Drag Racing event in the LA area around Oct. or Nov. (trucking for kids, I believe). I've been to that one & it's very good.

Next month, there is a diesel event in the Denver, CO. area sponsored by ATS transmissions. That one is good, also.

Bottom line is that you are going to have to drive to find a serious diesel drag racing event. They are well worth it, though.

Where is Rye Creek, AZ?

I live in the N. Pnx. area.

Ryecreek,

I was wondering if you were in the vicinity of Rye.

Do you live in the little town just east of the Beeline (Hwy. 87)? That's a nice little area. Stopped in there, a number of years, ago. Nice Saloon there, also. I believe they have some saddles for barstools, if memory serves me right.

I've driven past your area many times on my way up to the White Mtns. for camping trips. My favorite restaurant is the Beeline Cafe, in Payson. Love that place & their hot roast beef sandwiches. Used to go to the rodeos in Payson, years ago. Back when they blocked off Main St. for the party. That was a lot of fun.
