I just got the new Gino's catalog and I see that they are carrying the Anzo headlight lenses as a replacement for ours. Has anyone had any experience with these units? I'm looking to upgrade the headlights which are marginal at best.

I was thinking the same. My one light is getting moisture inside recently and is starting to yellow. Was hoping someone would comment on these before I called Geno`s

Gino's has always steered us right, I'd hope this was no exception... ... That said I just installed a set of Salvainia Starlight (sp?) ultra bulbs they are much better than the old ones that I needed a candel to see if they were lit. Is it me or does the head light asy on the older trucks (03-05) look like they were going to be set up for a 4 bulb system? the directional lamp looks like it was ment to be the other headlamp.

Something else to note... ... unless I'm missing something, the Anzo assemblies are *NOT* the Sport models. Some of us like the 4 lamp system, at least on the 2nd Gen trucks.

They are not an "Upgrade" to the OEM lights, rather an affordable replacement as OEM is much more expensive. They are just like Alteeza, Apc, Depo, Mars and zillion rebranded series. Not bashing them whats so ever. I went a different route with my setup and quite frankly I am not satisfied. They look sick but adjustability is just vomit inducing. The whole thread is https://www.turbodieselregister.com...nsmission-discussions/191312-head-lights.html

What IS awesome is to get a set of the ones from Gino's and UPGRADE your wire harness with one of theese upgrade harness' that use seperate relays, so you can use Sylvania Xtra's. That is the ultimate setup IMHO. I like to look of the black housings and with the extra output and good looks, now it's an upgrade :-laf

I would STAY AWAY from doing a "HID" or "Xenon" setup. We all know them for the wrong reasons, like "Blindingly Bright" coming at you, rediculous coloring etc. This is for the simple reason that cars that did NOT come with HID from the factory do not have the auto leveling and aim adjustability buckets. OEM lenses also refract 80% of the light back into the reflector and difuse the light making it blinding. Law enforcement is cracking down on HIDs pretty hard now. 2 guys from work now need to go thru inspection after they have been pulled over for having HIDs (LOL stupid Ricers :-laf  )

Toolman I posted a suggestion for you on the headlight thread.

I have thought about HIDs but would only do something for high beam operation. The frequent cycling though would likely be hard on ballasts and burn out prematurely.
