Had a question guys about getting my 100,000 mile tag, im just a little over 4000 miles out before i hit that mark, would taking a pic suffice or do i need some form of identification say maybe a copy of the tdr in my pic, thanks im just getting ready for the big 6 digit number... Oo.

I kept the digital camera in the truck when the day was near and luckily was on a vacant street when it came up, so I clicked a shot of the speedo while going down the road. Oo.

I am almost there also. I useto drive 400-500 miles a week, but for the last year, I have only put 10,000 miles on my truck. A combination of expensive fuel, and use of public transportation have stopped my fuel use.

This is the only engine I know of where we celebrate as the truck rolls past 100k... kinda like your kid losing his baby teeth or something.

I guess we can all assume the damn thing is finally broke in and ready for years and years of hard use. I'm over 60k and have about 1 1/2 years to go to 100k. Can't wait!!

Here is how I did mine and Robin was very prompt in sending out my plate. I followed the instructions in the magazine and took a picture of my odometer in the truck and a shot of the truck later. I was on my way home from "Thunder In Muncie" after recieving a 3rd place award in the show-n-shine competition(the only 2 trucks who placed ahead of me were TS Performance's newly built drag truck and Banshee's 6,000 mile 04 truck). I stopped along the interstate long enough to take the picture and off I went the rest of the way home. You will need to send her a picture of the truck and odometer and the amount of money listed in the magazine to cover shipping and one will be yours. The 100,000 mile tag is a very nicely done aluminum plate for the front of your truck. I tried to scan it for you to see and found out my scanner is a bit small for it but here is what I got for you. Its a plate worth spending the little bit to get for your truck and if your pic of the truck is good quality and if they have room, who knows it may end up inside the magazine in the awards area like mine did in the past issue. THANKS ROBIN!!!!!... ... ... ... Andy

Here is a shot of it on my truck from our recent M-D TDC club Christmas Dinner this past weekend in Hagerstown,MD. Grrrr, darn photo size limits,so if it looks a tad off it because I had to shrink it down 6 times to make it fit here... ... Andy

I like the picture that was posted by a member driving down the road at 80 MPH! He should have included a disclaimer in his post. :) DON'T TRY THIS ON PUBLIC ROADWAY!

I'm 10. 2k away and glad to be away from the high mileage contracting business.

100,000 and clicking

Well finally on Friday March 25, 05 I reached that mark, only thing is i didn't realize i was as close as i was and made it to a store parking lot with 100,001 miles i was 3 tenths of a mile from keeping it at 100,000 so i could take a picture. i took the pictures so im hoping there isn't a penalty for not getting a picture with 100,000 miles showing, i want my tag... Oo.

After my truck hit 200k I could hear every noise, squeak ect, did the trans shift properly is the engine louder today, Kept wondering if something was going to let loose.

I don't remember how long it lasted but now I am doing it again with 310k hopefully soon I will relax and start looking forward to 400 I think :-laf
