Does anyone know if we can get apps at auto stores or does it have to be from the Cryslurr dollarshops?

Tomorrow it goes in to scan for codes to see if the apps is bad. For it spinns over very well and will fire up fine but I have to use a small amount of throttle to get it to fireup. So what I suspect is wrong is that it isn't giving any voltage at idle till it is moved off of this spot??? Oh no not another $752. 00 plus both taxes. :mad::{

When mine went at 300,000kms I checked with Cummins and was told it was only supplied by Chrysler. Auto parts stores have no record of it. Bought one from Chrysler dealer for 392. 00 plus taxes.

Apps up here!

Thank You, you two. They scanned the Ecm/Pcm and no codes loged so not sure what to do till the truck is showing what it's problem is. Fourbar how did you manage to get an apps for $ 39?. 00 something. I got quoted $752. 00 for the one that I might need. Yes I will keep them in mind and hope t hat you may have them if I do indeed need them Thank You very much.

apps

Well since the scanning I have been noticing that idle is quite a bit roughter and it labors hard up the one slight grade till I get to 1800 rpm???:eek: so either I run it to 3200 to do a shift ( don't like doing that to a cold engine) or just go up the grade in thrid gear at 1900.

you could put a meter on it and see if it has any dead spots in it..... and check the voltage to make sure it is set right with the number on the back of it

apps

When I checked it a few years ago on an osocilloscope I would get milli volts then the next slight movement I would be reading 11. 48 volts ( I did varify that it was that voltage for I would have to change scales ) then it would go back to reading milli- volts again so the TTL( TTlogic) is bad to say the least!

I was talking to one mechanic today and he said that what the problem ( that I have been having since new) was a wrong keyway put in for the pump. surly if this was so someone would have picked it up by now wouldn't it??????? ( The engine has been gutless since new of the 50 diesel engines that I have run this is the absolute worst for power) Even the loaded water truck with 3000 gals of water in wet ground has alot more get up and go!!!!!
