Transmission sealing-Home Stretch?

Codes

I'm looking to replace my TPS since I'm getting codes P2127 and P2121 more often and both point to the throttle sensor. The part Dodge part number is 53032794AB and is getting hard to find and is pretty expensive.
That part number is the whole mechanical pedal assembly as shown below

However all over EBAY are these Cummins TPPs units which are stated to be for all Ram trucks from 03 to 07 costing around $40
and look like this

It appears like the cummins part could be inside of the pedal assembly. Dont want to take mine apart and possibly disable my truck because some little "thingy" pops out and cant be replaced. Just wondering it anyone has tried this?

That replacement part goes out on the engine bell crank assy, not the sensor on the pedal.
OK. Thanks for the clarification. I didn't know there was such a device. I tried to find so info on that. Is that used to tell the ECM where the shift lever position is?

I had the same error codes a few years back and just replaced the whole pedal assy. It was super easy and has been trouble free for years. I ordered a spare from RockAuto just to have in my parts bucket since it is getting harder and harder to find stuff these days!

No, the part you listed is for a different vehicle, prior to MY 05.

Boy you're not kidding about parts getting scarce. My local dodge dealer said there were only three of these in the country and they cant ship from one dealer to the other. You have to call directly and see if they are willing to sell it. So I ordered an aftermarket from RockAuto with a 3 year warranty. It interesting that the 05 and 06 models are the only ones having this problem. Apparently that series was a transition period between the old engine and the new engine.

There aren't a lot of problems with these, that's why they are hard to get.
Stuff that fails often is easy to get like the ones for the previous model years.
