APPS on 3rd gen

Can you do an APPS on a 3rd gen like we used to on 2nd gens. ??? If so how exactly is this performed???

If by "do" you mean "calibrate" then yes



You will need to remove the battery cables and let the electrical system drain all power for about 20-30 minutes, then perform the calibration... .



From the service manual:

Turn key switch ON, but do not crank

engine. Leave key switch ON for a minimum of 10

seconds. This will allow ECM to learn electrical

parameters.

For the Older models with the APPS beside the air horn:

Turn key to ON position.

Without starting engine, slowly press throttle pedal

to floor and then slowly release. This step must be

done (one time) to ensure accelerator pedal position

sensor calibration has been learned by ECM.
