Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) APPS Reset

I put a new APPS on a couple months ago. After the install I went through the steps to reset it. I always did the minimum time with the batteries unhooked. Yesterday I decided to reset it again so I unhooked the batteries for about 22 hours with the key on.

After resetting it I noticed that my truck finally for the first time since I have owned it (less than a year) is idling what I call normal. It always idled fast and when I put the transmission in drive it idled a little faster yet. It always took good brake pressure to keep the truck from rolling. Much better!

I've been wondering about that ever since I replaced my APPS. I think I'll give the 24 hour wait a try.
