Where is the best place to buy an new APPS.

Mine is slowly getting worse with time. My cruise fluctuates badly at times and I have a dead spot in the accelerator pedal. It's almost like the first 1/4 of my pedal is gone. :( Truck runs great once you get past the dead spot but it's getting there that is getting on my nerves.

I know the part isn't cheap but I'm pretty sure it's the source of my problems. I'm going to try and clean and reset mine tomorrow but I don't think it will help much any more.

So where is best to buy a new APPS Dodge dealer or Cummins shop? If any one has a part # that would help too.

CURRENT PART NUMBER FOR THE APPS/TPS SENSOR IS 3970085, RETAIL $336. 00 available from Cummins, Mopar for less, or other big rig shops. Dealers want $450 and change, and you have to get permission to order one. Cummins part # for the APPS was 3937162 which is superceded by 3949728 which is superceded by 3970085.

Thanks for the help Sticks.

Called the dealer and have one on it's way for tomorrow. Dealer said that Dodge list the part as the Bell Crank Assembly. List price was $425, my price ended up being $340. (Good Dealer some times) :)

Hopefully the sensor will fix my problem and all will be back to normal.

Thanks again.
