Wow! 48?! That's gotta be one loud engine room. I wonder why they would have so many smaller engines instead of some much larger slow or medium speeds.

Are they hiring? Trying to get out of commie New York... hahah

We can have units down and still produce. Also cheaper. Large units are expensive and when they go down, you loose huge output. Detroit 60 series are dime a dozen and parts are cheap and available. So of those large gensets take months to get components for.

Interesting... we have 5 total slow speeds and run 3 at a time for that reason.

I would also think it would be difficult to get them all to work together nicely. I'd be super interested to hear more about that.
