Off Roading ARB lockers and compressor

Just curious, but anyone have ARB's in the front or rear diff? Where did you mount the switches and the compressor? I just got the goods and what it to look decent in the cab... thx

I have an ARB Air Locker in my front diff. I mounted the switches in the overhead console. I didn't order the travel/convenience package(temp. & compass) when I ordered my truck. Made a faceplate and took out the cubby hole. I used carbon fiber contact paper to cover the face plate. All the wires run under the headliner and down the a-pillar. My compressor is mounted under the hood on the front of the passenger side fender well. I put it there because I have my Hadley air horn compressor mounted on top of the fender well. I'll probably move it to where the Hadley compressor sits, because I really don't need it any more. -Glen

I have had a ARB in my Jeep since 1994, and have had trouble with an air valve and several relays, other than that a great traction device. . I have redone my system where I use the roll cage as an air tank, and a converted a/c compressor on the engine converted into an air compressor. So, I dont use the arb pump or relays and it has been trouble free since.

my switches are on the knee bolster under the steering--when I did my locker 4 years ago there was pretty much only the ARB that would work--there may be others now, but I'm not sure --our vaccuum actuator makes it tuff--the ARB is the best option IMO as you can turn it on or off with the flick of a switch---chris

seriously, though. why not? with the vacuum disconnect, the front axle is fine on the street. on the trail, any auto locker or locked arb will act just like a spool, so what's the difference?

cuz there's a lot of them that just don't fit due to our front axle design---like I said this was 4 yrs ago so now there may be more choices----chris
