I'm negotiating with several dealers for the purchase of a 2003 3500 CTD QC LWB SRW.

In their April 2003 "Annual Auto Issue," Consumer Reports said:

"Don't buy from a dealer who requires that you sign a mandatory arbitration clause. You would be effectively be giving away your right of redress should a serious problem arise. " Having had some experience in this regard, I agree.

A few minutes ago I received a phone call from one of the dealers, who apparently is willing to accept the Consumer Reports invoice price less rebates and incentives. However, he said: "The requirement for arbitration is printed on the Dodge-supplied purchase contract forms -- it's a requirement by Dodge and is non-negotiable. "

Anyone have any experience with the "arbitration clause?" Anyone been able to get it crossed out and NOT included as part of the contract when they bought their new truck?
