Trip to Yellowstone - tips?

I am considering the purchase of an Artic Fox 22H travel trailer. Are they a quality product? If you own one, what are your experiences with the units? Thank you in advance for your input.

Blue Goat,

We have the 28-5D Nash... and love it. It pulls as easy or better than our 25' 5er did. We would go back with another one without any question. The only think we wish that we had done was go with the next bigger 5er to get the bedroom slide.

This is one sweet trailer!!!

Ibought a new 99 Arctic Fox 5er,model 24-5n. I have towed it over 10k miles and have never found a defect, never been back to the dealer. I looked at most all makes, and for the dollar ,I think the quality and workmanship are the best. Note that they have a advertisement on the back page of the latest TDR. Check their web site. They also have the best insulation for cold & hot WX.

Preston- tryNash Trailers . They make AWESOME built trailers. Although I don't own one, I have seen many and studied them carefully. For the money in this price range I would consider nothing but Nash or Sunnybrook. We ended up going with the Sunnybrook, two reasons, floorplan and aluminum frame. We love our Sunnybrrok but I think we would be equally happy with a Nash.

Artic Fox/Nash Trailers

My parents own a 1999 Artic Fox (25g ?) and have been pretty happy with it. It did develope a roof leak along the transition between the rubber and fiberglass which was easy to clean and re-seal.

Others I have talked with have nothing but good to say about them and I will be hitting the Portland Or. Fall RV Show at the EXPO to check out the new Desert Fox (toy hauler) which they are suppose to have available in a 5ver.

Traded in our 2k 24-5N 5th A F w/ 34k miles in on a 2k+3 29-5E. Pick up the new one 7 - 26. $16. 5 K will allow you to take the 24-5N home. It has brand new tires, wet spring shackles + a few other up grades.

Arctic Fox Trailers

Along with Ken, we have a 27-5L Arctic Fox 5th wheel. We purchased ours in October and have put about 20,000 miles on it. You couldn't pry this trailer away from either my wife or I - we love it. We have had a couple of minor problems but the factory took care of them. The Arctic Fox seems to have all the extras that others put on as options.

Our 27-5L tows great - even in lots of side wind I think it's more stable than our old motorhome.

Two things I would like to suggest. #1 Make sure your dealer gives you the largest RV batteries that will fit in the compartment. #2 If you are going to put a lot of miles on the trailer (more than 3,000 miles per year) I suggest you get the Dexter Heavy Duty Suspension kit. It provides bronze bushing in the shackles (rather than plastic) AND it provides zerk fittings on all the shackles for lubing.

Good trailer - great company.
