What is the current highest performance injector for drag race applications for the 12V trucks? Slowly this truck will be turned into a race only truck. :D

Heard alot about 370's & even marine version..... lead me in the right direction

Thanks guys

the 370's are popular because they are cheap HP(up to 700) i believe. There are better injectors out there but they cost more. Search the 12 valve forum and competition forum for JIM FULMER's posts he has given lots of info.

Since it is going to be a race truck, are you building up the motor? As in new pistons and such? If you are, and getting marine pistons, get the 370s. The 370s are marine injectors. The spray pattern matches the piston bowl. Now, if you are going to keep the OEM style of pistons, I think you'll want something different, but as said before, they cost more. I was running 370s before, but like the DDP Stage 4s even better.

The 370s do make great, cheap, power, though.

Are 370's the best. The short answer is no. But they are cheap and can be a decent injector for some. You get what you pay for.

I would suggest you also consider a set of injectors from Dynomite Diesel Performance.

Does Garmon have a website? Locally there is a shop by the name of Power by Poole... never been there but their website is pretty good. I think they only advertise injectors for the 24 valve

The internals of the engine as far as rods & pistons etc... will be left stock for a little while as we work with the budget. Or until it gets tired :-{}

Man, now I have a tear in my eye :-laf

Yep 370's make big power for there price but there are allot better injectors out here. Back when I was in the 600's there were only 370's and lightly honed DD's..... that's it. It took me years to get anyone to work with me on Injectors because they didn't like the shop/business that I was dealing with.

That is all in the past now, the injector of my choice is Industrial Injection 1-800-955-0476, been running with them for 1. 5 years now.

Our Stage 4's work great with standard and large bowl pistons. No idle haze or acrid exhaust smell either. :D

Good.

Fast.

Cheap.

Pick TWO. :D

LOL! :-laf

Really, I don't have a problem with 370's. I've got them, and for the money they are a great injector. If you don't mind a little smoke at idle, not a big deal. Like Jim said, he ran them to 600hp! Heck you could buy 2 sets of 370s (on sale) for the price you pay for some of the other injectors!

I'm not saying that I won't be getting another injector down the road... . but for the money, you can't go wrong!

JMHO!

EDM's from Industrial Injection with a real nice tight spray pattern for any piston, but there is a catch. I don't just say they work I proved that, nor do I say the pattern is correct because you can see that in the piston pics that I took when I did the short block change last winter.

There are several choices from II other than EDM's, you can go with 300's or 370's and hone either of them from there. Me personally if I was trying for 700+ go with the dragon flows, 700 can be done with at 215 pump and 12mm P&B's.

How about this???

I have the 370 marine inj and I also have the marine pistons. I was wondering ig I can run a different inj with the marine pistons. I was just wanting a bifgger set to sled pull???? Thanks

I have got the Marine Pistons and ran 370 marine injectors for two years, switched to the DDP Stage 4's last year and couldn't be happier, as mentioned above no haze at idle like I hade with the Marine Pistons plus there good for additioanl 40 to 50 rwhp as an added bonus :)

There is no market for high HP people, it's the 350-500 hp guys that make you the money.

Agreed, that is why you have to respect those who are making the bigger sticks for the few :D
