Are axles same as 3rd gen?

Are the axles the same from 3rd gen to 4th gen? I'm looking for a set of 3. 42 axles and didn't know if '09-10 would work. (AA 9. 25" & 11. 5" axles).

Yes I believe they are the same. I also believe the front axle weight rating was increased to 5500#, or at least mine has a 5500# front axle. I think the 3rd gens were 4800#.

3rd gen fronts are a little different, but the attachment points for suspension and steering are the same. The 3rd gen fronts are rated at 5200 lbs. The 4th gen are 5500 and have a slightly better turning radius. I would love a 10-11 front axle.

The rears are identical (visual differences occurred in mid MY 06, but that's only visual)

Cool. Sounds like a trade with a 4th gen wouldn't work (at least for the owner of the 4th gen ) but if I found one at a boneyard I'd be in good shape.
