Want a horton fan clutch or similar type product.

Are they still available in kit form?

Who has the best price?

Thanks again,

Brian

When I talked to them last month, they said the model for Dodge's is no longer in production. so unless you find one on a shelf or used, you are out of luck.

I believe John is right, Horton kits are no longer in production. I do not know if some of the parts are available separately or not. The wiring harness would not be too difficult to make, but the fan itself is no longer being produced. The clutch may still be in production but without a fan blade the clutch is pretty worthless.

Are you kiddin. :( Did they say why?

Yes, I was told it was because the special alloy used to make the fan blades was no longer available. And that there had been incidents of fan blade breakage. They didn't want the liability.

That seems like a line of BS. I guess I would believe them if they are no longer making, or having made for them, fan blades all together but if I am not mistaken they are still selling clutches and blades for other applications?

When I spoke with them last fall about acquiring a new blade for a Horton setup they said they are no longer selling them becasue their contract ran out with their current supplier. Obvioulsy they chose not to sign another contract or source another supplier. I'm guessing because of increased cost or too low of volume or, both.

Who knows

I have a used one coming up for sale soon. Excellent working condition, removed due the pending sale of my '96. Let me know if you're interested.

Hi John,

sorry, we no longer have an application for that engine.

We still supply the clutch, but don't have any more fan blades for them.

They used a special alloy that is no longer available.

If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call.

thanks!

Chipstine,

making the harness will be a little harder than you think. The harness is designed to remove electrical spikes when you manually turn on and off your fan. It takes almost nothing in the way of spikes to burn up the magnet . Without the harness you will burn up the magnetic portion of the fan. It's happend to me.
