Anyone know if the door hinges are adjustable? When I'm flying down the road the driver side door leaks air in around the top of the door. And when I'm bucking a head wind it's even worse.

Thanks,

Lonnie

I was having this exact same problem recently with my truck. My problem started when the drivers side door was ripped out of my hands as I opened in from inside by high winds. I was at a GLTDR meet and one of our members used to be a body man at a dealer. Ready for the solution? This will probably make you cringe. First he found where the leak was by closing the door on a dollar bill and pulling it out all along the top and front of the door frame until he found where the gap was, in my case it was at the upper left of the window frame when looking at the from the outside (the bill slipped out easily with no resistance at that spot). He then opened the door, opened the window completely, stood in the door sill, placed his knee against the inside of the door near the top, grabbed the window frame right where the leak was and pulled on it pretty hard (he moved it inward about 2-3 inches with each pull). He tested the fit between reefing on it until it was tight - solved the problem completely. After talking to several family members that work for the big 3 that's exactly how they do it on the production line too!

I worked in an Auto-glass shop back 25 years ago, and that's how we adjusted 'em then too. Works great. Just be sure the window's down!

Thanks Steve & rrausch,

I'll give it a go. Ok to send you the bill for a new door if I break the top off. :D

I'll work on it tomorrow after I put my governer springs in.

Thanks again,

Lonnie
