I've waited for 2 months now for BF ATs, and now the Michelin rep says it could be another 3 months on national backorder. So I thought I would try Nitto Terra Graplers, and they too are on backorder. Bridgestone still hasn't come out with the Revo in 285, so I am afraid I have few options, if any. Suggestions?

I tried them they wont sell to the public.

Oh... . bummer.

My buddy owns a tire store and he was checking the inventory for me the other day. They had a bunch of BFG A/T 285's in stock. Maybe call and ask them for a local dealer and have them order them for you.

I bought some locally three days ago. He had them next day. He did say that the white letter ones are hard to find. I got the black wall version.

I called around a bit on those yesterday. Like everything else, seemingly, they are on nationwide backorder. What is up with all that?

Anyway I went here: http://www.discounttire.com.

Click on Tire Search By Size. It asks for your zip code. Put in the size. The only one that comes up in that size is the BFG AT. Then click Check Availability. It gives you a list of stores near your zip code and tells you if they have any in stock.

All the stores in my list had none in stock except 1 which was about 1 mile from where I work. I called and they had 4. I just did that search again and that store now shows none because I took those 4 last night. So it seems like it is pretty up to date and a good way to track some down. If that doesn't work you can call around to all the tire stores in the area. Even if they are on back order, somebody might have them in stock.

Price went up on that site from 198 yesterday to 204 today.

To answer the question about 285 vs stock. The Michelin 265s are spec'd at 31. 4 inches diameter and , the 285s are 32. 8.
