I know I sound like a nut case, but with my truck being flame red, I would much rather run amber bulbs and clear lenses than the stock amber lenses. I am just trying to simplify the look of the front end, and keep everything red, chrome, or black. Are there any available OEM for different countries? Maybe someone is making a quality aftermarket copy?

I saw a 2004 Ford SD with clear clearance light lenses / amber bulbs the other day. Are the lenses interchangeable? Could you interchange a set of lamps? I don't have the answser, but just wanted to let you know that what you want to do is possible. Just wanted to share the information.

The requirement of course indicates what color the light must be when ON. When off, there is no requirement so a clear light with an amber/yellow LED would be fine.

I have spent some time searching the internet with no luck. If anybody finds a link to the clear ferd lights please post it. I tried DC's international site, but it seems that they don’t even sell a 3500, or list clearance lights as an option in other countries.

#2. "says for vehicles wider than normal" (dually), im not with a srw, so i should be exempt (2500's are). 2500's dont come standard with clearance lights.

#3. "to indicate presence of a wide vehicle". i'm no wider than any other single rear wheel truck on the road.

not only this but here in idaho i'd be hard pressed to think that the local gestopo would even notice much less care.

I beleive this would fall under DOT specs - AMBER ONLY - even though you might be legal with amber lights and a clear lens. I feel you would be hard pressed to find clear lights.

you might look at a "chrome Shop" for big trucks. that might be your only hope.

They are easy to find for Ford and Chevy, just no company has made them for a Dodge yet.

I think if they don't have some out by the time I get my truck, I'm just gonna have to start makin 'em!
