Are there manual front hub kits available for these trucks?

On my 96 truck I just purchased it has the stock 4500 lb front axle.

On my 77 Ramcharger I installed a Warn lockout kit that allowed the front wheels to freewheel and it did help mileage as well as front end wear.

Is there a kit available for the newer trucks that would isolate the wheels from the axle?

Thanks!

I had asked the same question not to long ago. I own a 1997 that uses a vacuum diaphram on the front axle to engage the shaft to the front wheels. I was told you have to buy a complete new axle from Dana to convert over to manual hubs.

The price was not worth the bother.

There is a company, Dynatrak I believe, that makes Stage 1 through Stage 3 kits for our trucks. Stage one is pretty much everything outboard of the spindles with manual hubs, from there the kits get heavier duty. Very spendy stuff but lots of cool factor :D
