Hair measurements with calipers is highly inaccurate due to the compressibility of the strand. Best method is to yank one and use a diameter gauge in the hole. With a RCH this often results in a slap across the face.

Berrigan - I am curious. Just what were you playing with that you would have your "caliper out 3 days ago measuring them"?

Clear that up for me, and I might consider you an authority on human hair diameter.

I realize I am relatively new at playing with my Ram  :D , but so far, I can't quite relate to your experience.

No I wasnt measuring hairs when I started. Had the calipers out trying to measure the frame end movement of my track bar. (not the best tool for that) Then I started with the hairs just for fun. Did a gray one on my arm, 0. 0005. Gray one on my head, 0. 001 and a few others. I should have kept better records, but i didnt realize so many folks would be interested. ILLFLEM mentioned compressability. Bill I agree with that but they seemed to rebound after you let the pressure off the thumb wheel.

It is possible they didnt rebound all the way. If thats the case I have some dented hairs on my head.

How in the world did we get from injectors to dented hairs?

Berrigan - We got from injectors to dented hairs by responding to your post. :-laf :-laf :-laf :-laf Oo. Oo. LOL

I think it is a good thing that we can have a light side. Hopefully, no one is offended.

Speaking for myself, if I wanted to always be serious, I would have joined a group of morticians. :(

Then you know the carpet doesn't match the drapes. Keep shopping.

Honestly, do we have to teach y'all EVERYTHING?? :D

I was at the injector shop and he has pokey tools. Im not sure thats the technical name for em but He inserts a wire into the hole to check the diameter. At least this is what I gathered by speaking to him.

He said he wire pokey thinged DR P's injectors. And the wire pokey thing had a story to tell about DR Ps representations.

Let's hear it- I LOVE a good "pokey" story! :D

Bill - you missed my point. The carpet may match the drapes - but if the carpet was pulled up to reveal a beautiful hardwood floor - would anyone complain?
