Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Are VP44/lift pump issues solved in 03/04?

Wanting a 4 door and 3500 for camper and QUIET for a change but wondered if the infamous VP44/lift pump problem will follow me from the 02 vintage. Also, are trac bar issues following the new models with American axles? geusterman

No more VP-44

They went to a common rail fuel system, hence the quieter operation. Not sure but I believe they are having lift pump problems also. You might want to go to the 3-GEN forum and ask those that have them.
