Not interested until they stuff that engine in front of a real cab you can be proud of. Besides, 305/600 isn't anything that can't be accomplished with minimal mods to an earlier 2nd gen or even 3rd gen for that matter. Maybe someday I'll be interested, but the price tag and payments have made my mind up for now:rolleyes:.

04.5 on Order

I ordered Quad 3500 srw SLT/Laramie 4X4 6spd 5. 9HO on 09Feb04. My dealer has no idea at the moment as to wait times. My 01 Chev Crew 4x4 Duramax goes on 06Apr04 so I hope it arrives before then. Will I miss my Chev? Time will tell!

Ordered 12/30/03. shipped 2/5/04. Sitting in Kansas City the Last 24 hours.

It seemed like it flew from Satillo to St. Louis but now it just seems to be crawling. The ETA on the UP website keeps moving later and later for the arrival in Council Bluffs. I have already called the over the road carrier and they said as soon as it is released from the rail yard it would take the short 2 1/2 hour ride north to my dealer!Oo. Oo. Oo.

It is soooooooo close it's driving me nuts. think I can drive to Kansas city and pick it up????:D :D

I know I can't but it is a nice wish.

I ordered mine Jan 7, 04 and it arrived at the dealer's 23 days later. He had said 4 to 6 weeks. Boy, was I surprised.

The is my first diesel & the biggest truck I have owned. It is really a "hoot" to drive. It has lots of "go" power & lots of "stop" power. The brakes are very solid, the ride is solid, the steering is better than my car. It feels like I am driving a "real" truck.

I ordered my on Jan 26. The dealer gave me a VON number. I can't find anyway to track it. The dealer said it will ship on Feb 20.

Does anyone know how to track it with the VON number. I saw a 800 number listed back a ways, but it doesn't work.

RLighthall, you must have a laptop with internet access in your truck. That's the only thing that could possibly explain why you're posting on the web instead of out driving, or just sitting in and admiring, your new truck. :D Congrats!!

jlasich,

I had to at least stop & pass on the good news so that the other folks whose rides were shipped via slowboat will have renewed hope that theirs can't be far behind. Love to stay & chat, but I've gotta 3 year old who wants to go ride "the purple truck" (use to be "the green truck" but that color's been discontinued)...

BTW, it's the Deep Molten Red, which can be any color ya want, depending on what kind of light's shining on it...

Ordered mine 1-30-04. Sold 2001 already. Last status was D, still not scheduled. Arg. I know I am old enough my wants won't kill me, but the wait IS!!!!

I am driving a 93 S10 until it comes in. Though a nice truck, not the same for a 6"3" tall guy.

Last status was D, still not scheduled

That doesn't seem right. THese trucks seem to go from D to D1 within a day or two. Especially with the hold now, and trucks which were D should be being built.

Have your dealer check his facts.

Hey Ken, I tried posting again, but it wouldn't let me, cuz I PICKED UP MY TRUCK TODAY!!! Flame red, 4X4, Quad Cab Dually, ETH/DEE, 4. 10 gears, and a bunck of cool stuff... ..... Woo Hoo!!!

My 04. 5 was ordered 01/03, built on 09 and in Spokane at Dishman Dodge ($1100 under dealer) on 02/09. A lady with a Ford who has been dreaming of a Dodge to pull her horse trailer :)( she's married) wants my 02 ST with the Kelderman/Rancho's/EZ and she is sending me a deposit sight unseen! God is good. I have to take the GV out so she gets it in a couple weeks. This is too easy. I dreaded swapping the rigs but this is going pretty good. People want these Dodges and they are hard to find. Especially HO/6spds but most don't know nothin from nothin anyway and any Dodge Cummins is a good one. I will miss the ST's utter simplicity and reliability but if we can tool around Mars with a Rover we surely should be able to count on our computer electronics in our rigs these days. I hope..... geusterman

Ordered my 1 ton dually 4x4 on 12-31-03. It advanced to BX status (available for schedule) on 2-9-04 and then back to BG status on 2-13-04.

From another post, the BG status will stay in affect until March due to changes being made. This is good for me since they are in the process of replacing thrust washers in the 48RE this month and maybe I will have all required hardware changes to the 48RE to allow an E-brake. Software changes will not be available until later this year but at least they (or me) might not have to tear the 48RE apart for the modifications.

Ken, don't know why but the poll seems to be closed. I am taking delivery today and thought I would add another point on your chart.

Poll will not allow you to vote again

Well, I learned something today. Even though I set up the poll to allow for multiple choice answers, it only allows multiple answers when you vote the 1st time. It will not allow you to go back at a later time and vote again. I guess we need a Chicago (or maybe Florida) voting poll to do that.
