Here is one of the main reasons I traded for the 07. 5 6. 7L. The 48RE transmission in my 04. 5 & 06 were a lot to be desired in backing up steep hills in our campsite in the BlueRidge Mts. As you all know the reverse in the 68rfe is far superior to the 48RE.



What we ended up doing was to place the 04. 5 & 06 in 4x4 low and used it to place the RV. With all the twisting and turning it could not be good for the driveline.
