Green Bay to Omaha and more...

Extended warranty on RV

I haven't seen any posts about Joe Donnelly's May Madness. I know of two fellow TDR members and fellow RVers who are attending but am wondering how many plan to attend.

I'm going. I made my RV park reservation a couple of months ago when the announcement appeared in the TDR magazine but haven't sent Joe my registration fee yet. Guess I better get that in the mail soon.

This will be my first May Madness. I'm looking forward to it. I've attended two or three TDR rallys in TX and attended the great one at the Cummins MREP in Columbus, IN in the summer of 2002 just before the Gen III HPCR Rams were introduced. I've enjoyed each one I've been able to attend and especially the one sponsored by Cummins.

I hope lots of you are planning to attend.

Please post here if you are planning to go.

I am planning on attending May Madness. I sent in my registration to Joe in December. I also made my reservation at Preferred RV at the same time. Not too much has appeared on the boards as of yet, I suspect as the date draws nearer there will be more people talking about the event.

Thanks Boondocker,

I confess I forgot to look there. I never browse those threads and completely forgot about them.

I'm going!!!!! Wouldn't miss it for the world. It's like "Disneyland" for diesel folks.

I've gone every year since 2002. Also, went to the Turbo Diesel Nationals in Columbus, IN. (2002). That was a lot of fun, too. I know of no other event, out West, that is as good as May Madness. Lots of very high performance trucks (check out the dyno runs on Thursday). Lots of vendors. Good seminars. A good dinner, Saturday night, & the vendors provide an enormous number of gifts at the drawing after dinner. It's quite amazing just how generous some of these vendors are. They give away some very expensive prizes.

For me, May Madness is better than Christmas, my birthday, Easter, & probably a few other things. I know, I really need to get a life!!! But, I can think of no other event during the year that I so look forward to. It's a great time with a lot of great people.

Check out Tom Sweeneys post & where he's from. He & a friend tow their trailers out from Maryland every year. A lot of people travel a great distance, to go.

Once again, a BIG Thank You goes out to Dr. Joe Donnelly & his Crew for putting on such a great event , each year.

I'll mail my registration form and check today.

I'm looking forward to meeting some of you whose names are familiar from this forum but whom I have never met.

I am just not to sure an old truck like mine can make it that far again ???????

Actually I am more worried about Cliffman's 01 built another motor a few weeks ago now we have no oil pressure, I hope we find it before May !!!!

BPine,

My '01 wasn't as "old" in years as your truck is but it had almost 325,000 miles on it when I retired it and was hauling travel trailers all over the US and Canada until a few days before it was retired. It never let me down.

A fellow TDR member, GAmes, has 595,000 on his and is still transporting all over the North American continent.

I'm sure your Ram will make it to May Madness. Hope to see you there.

I can't believe the bad luck Cliffman is having with his motors, hope you all are able to get it resolved in the next month so he can make it down.

Blair I don't know if I would trust that old truck or not either. ;): -laf
