How many days without email?

Record traffic levels tonight - how's it working for you?

Steve,

The only time I've gotten a PM pop-up since the last upgrade was the night you sent me a test one. I get the email notifications, but no pop-ups anymore. No changes on my end. I can only trace it back to the last upgrade TDR did. Before that I got them consistently. I'm on cable. Hope that helps somehow.

pop ups

Steve,

I am on a cable modem. I have never seen the pop up but it could be that I click on favorites before the entire page is up. Although it is fast I still hate to see all those ads. For a while I will watch the whole page to see. Also, I don't get that many PMs. Sooo. Thnaks

Cobra,

Go to user control panel, then drop down to options and click on it. The off/on switch for the pop ups is about half way down.

I checked that option and it is marked with a yes. So I guess I just don't wait long enough to see the po up. But like I said I don't get alot of PMs. Thanks

I NEED details guys

As I said above I need more details from those of you that it isn't working for. Are you on dial up or a high speed connection? What browser are you using? Do you let the page load completely when you first come to the site? Are you using any pop up killer or internet speed up software? Just telling me it isn't working for you doesn't help because without details I have no way of reproducing your problem.

Steve

I am on a cable connection. It is simular to AT&T but it is from my local cable company. I don't know what browser. However, any thread that I am involved with a get an e-mail notification and I get that same notice for the PM. I didn't realize that until my latest PM.

Cable, IE6 and XP Pro. No popups and no email notification for over a month. What I do when I log in makes no difference, it simply does not notify me that a new PM is in my inbox. The only way it shows up is to log into my inbox or look at the little text block at the bottom of the forums.

EDIT: I use a firewall, no popup blocking or speeder software. other sites I am a member on using the vbulletin are providing notification through BOTH email and popup... ... .....

jj, you have to check the box marked save this message right above the send message key in order to save a sent message. It used to save messages by default but that was changed because folks were filling up their mail boxes inadvertently with sent messages.

I had no popups and my the Private Message area on the main forum page said I had 0 new messages today even though I received three email notifications of new PMs today. Something is still messed up.
