Hi Fellas,

We are pretty close to moving to Az. My truck is titled and registered to my business which is a NJ S-Corp. Can I flip the title to me from the corporation there, or do I have to flip it here first? The fewer steps involved the better as far as I'm concerned. The corporation will be dissolved once everything is situated.

I can't wait to put this state in my rear view mirror :-laf

TFucili,

I just checked my ADOT(AZ. Dept. Of Transportation) Motor Vehicle Division Title and Registration Application & the website is www.dot.state.az.us

The Vehicle Registration website is www.azdot.gov

You may want to ask those questions of these folks. Hopefully, you will get the correct information directly from "the horses mouth".

Sounds like you're getting pretty serious about the move to AZ. The weather, here, is beautiful, now. This is what we wait all summer for. It's in the 70's here in Phoenix.

Hope this helps.

Hey Joe,

We were out there in early November and spent a week on a whirlwind real estate tour in Wickenburg. I had your phone number with me and had the best of intentions, but just flat ran out of time.

I had read the AZDOT site info, and subsequently called to ask my somewhat unusual question of them. They said it could be done so long as I provided some official corporate documents to prove ownership. My problem is that whenever I have asked questions of the motor vehicle people here in NJ, I have gotten wrong answers at least as often as right. I would hate to bring my truck 2500 miles to find out I need to process something back east, you know?

I think we're fixing to make an offer on another house soon, so I hope to meet up with you at some point in the next few months(fingers crossed).
