Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) ARP studs bottom tap what size?

What size is the tap for the 12 valve block? I'm ordering a set of studs and I want to bottom tap the holes out first. The head is not on so it does not have to be a long one.



Anyone know where a could get the tap from? Part number?

I don't know if the 24 and 12valve are the same. The 24 valve tap size is M12x1. 75. MSC in Reno NV. Phone # 1-800-645-7270. Part # for standard length 74956020, price $13. 20.

12V uses a M12x1. 75 pitch also.

If you ever need a longer one, they run about 33 dollars for a 6" long one. I have one that can be borrowed, but ups will end up being 7 or 8 dollars for the 2way trip. It will tap thru the head easily.
