Real quick question. Not being paranoid... LOLOL I was looking under the new 06 the other day and noticed a TINY ( Not really enough to make your fingers greasy) Spot right where the Drive Shaft meets the back og the G56. I degreased and a tiny bit back again after a few hundred miles. Could this be some sort of Factory Grease that is making it's way out after 2000 miles of driving/towing? Not real concerned and I wouldn't really take it to the dealer yet, just figured I would ask. Love thenew truck and how it pulls my big trailer! Mileage is very good as well!!

LOLOL NO, 6. 0's for me!!! LOLOL I have actually been a dodge cummins owner since 1989!!! My first was a 1989, then 1993, 1998. 5, 2001, 2002, 2004. 5, 2006. All six speeds. Just picked up the 02 from a desperate friend who needed the $$$$ Anyway, thanks and I won't let it bother me! Oo.

haha I used to have one and that was always a HUGE concern over on mydieselstopped.com they would assemble there torque converters with grease and in 3000 miles it would form a drip at the bellhousing. by the lack of replys here I wouldnt sweat your problem unless it gets worse, only because right now its so minor.

Enjoy the truck,

Jim

Well, truck now has 3,000 on it and the drip from the tail shaft is worse so I am going to take it in and have it looked at/Replaced. Thats what warranties are for! I won't say this truck is a "Bad one" as I lost the whole rear diff on my 04. 5 at about 3,000. It was fixed and perfect ever since!
