I had talled to Bill K a while back becouse I have suddering under high load. He had told me to change to atf+4. But I cant find atf+4 any where only +3. Does any one know who carrys in in southern cal? Or are there additves I can add to my +3? I live in moreno valley it is by riverside.

Dunno about the US....

... . but up here it's a Chrysler-only thing. Petro-Canada lists it in their product guide-but haven't yet gotten around to producing it. Esso (Canadian equivalent to Exxon) is the packager for Chrysler up here-a call to the bulk dealer and their call to product marketing revealed that Chrysler is the only game in town... . at least it was a couple months ago.

The only place I have found it so far is the dealer. only $30 per gallon. Amsoil has the universal for $7. something but I can't find a amsoil dealer close yet. Also what would be the best way to change it? I have new +3 in it now. I also have a drain in my pan but most of the +3 will be stuck in the converter. Will half +3 and +4 be good enough? I have pretty bad suttering now.

In the service bulletin it said that ATF +4 was only to be used in transmissions that have always had it in them. What is going to happen if it is put in a transmission that has had ATF +3 in it?

The bullitin states that ... ... ... ... ... ... ... .....

Effective immediately, it is recommended that all vehicles with Chrysler automatic transmissions except for 1999 and earlier minivans be serviced with ATF+4®. ATF+3 should continue to be used for 1999 and earlier minivans because of the potential for torque converter shudder during break in. For all other applications the ATF+4® fluid offers significant benefits as outlined below.

So we are safe. Also bill k told me that for my suddering it was a better choise than +3.
