CHARLESTOWN, Ind. (September 3, 2004) - The ATPA is in the process of finalizing plans for two popular Diesel Pickup Truck classes to be included - and officially recognized, as divisions on the Lucas Oil Power Pulling Series 2005 schedule.
Pro Street Diesel Pickup will be open to street legal pickup trucks fitted with single turbochargers, while Unlimited Super Stock vehicle rules are currently under consideration and are expected to be finalized by November.
“We strongly feel that this is the next developmental step in the sport of pulling and the ATPA is proud to be able to include these diesel pickup trucks into our Lucas Oil Power Pulling Series fold,” said Tom McConnell, ATPA founder and president.
As a preview, the Pro Street Diesel Pickup Truck class will be included as an exhibition class during the fall ATPA event at Cynthiana, Kentucky, on Saturday, October 16.
