Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) ATS 3 piece manifold/vacuum line bracket

I installed a 3 piece manifold from ATS on the replacement engine. Man am I glad I didn't have to do the job in vehicle. Anyway, I took a look at the bracket that holds the vacuum line from the AFC to the wastegate. It is mounted on a special bolt/stud on the #3 cylinder. I called ATS support to see what provisions they might have since the manifolds are very different. They pretty much blew me off, and I will remember that in future purchases. So does anybody have a picture of a fabbed bracket that willl work with the new manifold?

Hard to tell what you have/need, but I think you'll have to just get creative.

Most of us who run after-market chargers do not have that little vacuum line anymore as the gates are run right off of the compressor housings. As already stated you will have to get creative to make a bracket to hold it tight. As for ATS and their TERRIBLE customer service I feel your pain... ..... Andy

I suppose it is strange to install a high dollar exhaust manifld on a virtually stock engine, but I did. I am no stranger to fabricating small parts, but I was hoping someone else had come up with a solution that didn't involve cutting and bending.

I was dumbfounded when I saw this on my 97, because the 95 gets wastegate signal straight from the compressor housing. I just pulled this whole thing out and plugged the hole in the afc, disabling the waste gate. If you want to keep your wategate operative, tap the compressor housing and run a short piece of hose over to the wastegate to eliminate whatever cummins was thinking in the "awkward" years. FYI, i saw a 150* drop in peak egts by eliminating the wastegate with stock fueling.

Since I really like the way my wastegateworks I modded the bracket. It took a few dremel cutting wheels, but wasn't all that difficult.
