Rip Rooks exhaust questions

I found the ATS 3-piece manifold for $552. 00 plus shipping. Has anybody found a better price? I read some other threads talking about Mr. Bob's Distributing. Anybody have the number?

Thanks Illflem. I'll give Piers a try. Where's the best place to fish up your way? Flyfish that is. I have the driftboat and so forth.

Hold on to your money. You could find that in a month or so that BD could be selling them cheeper. Just between you and me. OverFueled:)

Man, that's a tuff one since there are so many good spots. Rock Creek the Blackfoot and Big Hole rivers are all close to me and great. :)

lower price on ATS 3 piece manifold

I finally got Mr. Bob to answer email request on price (it took awhile). $399 for uncoated ATS 3 piece, not including shipping. I am planning to grab one for that price, unless anyone knows of a better price.

that is cheap. I don't think that anyone will beat it.

I got mine from Piers but I also got mine coated so there was a bit of difference in price.

Call ADT and talk to doug... you will get MUCH better price than 552. 00!

Not affilated in any way... just a VERY happy customer!

Most places charge around $120 for the ceramic coating. We coat all the headers on our Hot Rods also. Coating will stand up to 1300 degrees (metal temp not egt). I had mine done thru Piers before they shipped to me. The satin black looks alot better than the rust color you get after a few months. :D

Got mine from Mr Bobs for $399. and he paid for shipping. :D :D :D

His # is 877-543-7563 he told me not much longer at this price. Best price any where.

:D :D :D :D :D :D

Is it necessary to coat the exhaust manifold on a diesel?

I'm still running the stock cast iron exhaust and it is in very good external condition. The low temperature Cummins paint is long burned off, but no significant oxidation (rust) buildup.

You cannot say the same about a gasser exhaust around here.

No, but If you are buying a new one most guys would get it done.

Benefits:

THERMAL BARRIER PROPERTIES REDUCE RADIANT TEMPERATURE

HIGH ABRASION RESISTANCE

INCREASED GAS VELOCITIES (Could help spool-up)

REDUCED UNDER HOOD TEMPERATURES

LOOKS GREAT

In a nutshell, it's helping to keep the heat in the manifold where it belongs to benefit the turbo. :)

My 2 Cents
