Just as the title says, which would you choose? I really would prefer the 5K but i dont want to have to start upgrading the fuel system and adding studs. Would it be feasable to run the 5K with only the quadzilla adding fuel? Or should i just go with the 4K and be done with it? I really like ATS but if there are comparably priced compounds out there please fill me in. Thanks to all for the help!

I went with the 4000. Truck is screamin' fast, great to tow with, and quiet. If my memory serves me, there was about 50 more horsepower with the 5000(?). It wasn't worth the second cp3, head studs, and injectors to fully realize the potential that the 5000 had to offer. Also, I have no experience with the quadzilla, but do have experience with Smarty Jr and Sr. With my stock injectors, and with Smarty Jr on 100 hp, adding the ATS compound system made no difference in acceleration. It wasn't until I traded for a Smarty Sr ( actually just called Smarty) and cranked up the power level that I realized more power. The Jr couldn't move enough fuel to crank up the 2nd turbo, so it was just along for the ride. With Jr, I was around 36 psi, now I run around 45.

Thanks MChrist, im not sure why but i was worried that the 4K wouldnt be enough. Guess i have the old big block mentality of bigger=better. The quadzilla im running is similar the the smarty in that i can adjust rail pressure, timing, and fueling independantly. With the factory tunes it has 10 levels from 0-140. Im glad to hear it will work because i really dont want to have to start adding studs, injectors, cp3, etc. I also looked at the Industrial Injection set of compounds but am still leaning towards ATS bc of warranty.

Yeah, the only time I have ever used full power was when I was testing my 0-60 times. Otherwise, I will run setting #7 (140 ish) then dial the Power On Demand down to 75%, and still have plenty power. Really, I never even have to floor it!!! I would love to dyno it, but don't know where to go...

I'm very happy with the 4000.

Wow that's insane! I can't wait to order the kit now! Thanks so much for all the info, I was really unsure which way to go. I should be ordering the kit within the next week or so and will give an update.

I'm confident you won't be disappointed with your choice. I, too, debated over 4000 vs 5000. Now that I've had my 4000 for over a year and 15,000 miles, I can definitely say I don't ever need more power than what I have. Good luck.
