BMD is no longer an ATS dealer

We have been receiving a fair number of inquiries by phone, and by email, asking for prices on ATS trannies, torque convertors, and valve bodies.

Due to ATS's repeated refusal to adhere to the terms of our agreement regarding sales territory and other matters, we stopped selling their products several months ago. Additionally, the products have not met our expectations.

We do not wish to be associated with such a company.

We regret the part we had to play, in gaining them the credibility and publicity they wanted, and used me for.

For any of our customers that experience failures:

Not to worry if ATS fails to cover it. We will take care of you.

I would ask that one of the Moderators have the common sense to remove this thread. Playin with fire is a term that comes to mind.

that would be censorship... ... ... ... ..... plain and simple

Please post any problems so far... .....

You need thicker skin too... .....

Where is the violation of guidelines?????

Proffessionalism 101

Never make a statement in an open Forum about a company that supplies product to you. This is a closed door conversation item that should be dealt with between the two individuals to express their greivances and come to a practical solution. You simply do not place something like this on a site, knowing full well it will turn into a war for all to view, sharing no information of importance and becoming a thread that people come to view rather than gain information.

Does this surpass some of your mindsets, is there a need for an intellect injection to bring the folks that think this kind of behavior is acceptable back to reality???

All I see is an honest man trying to explain to his customers why he is not selling a certain product anymore, and rest assured, he will take care of them if a problem arises.

This what this forum is for, in my book.

Airing "dirty laundry" is never a wise or professional thing to do, I agree.

However, there is one thing that is far more important to me than anybody's idea of business ethics or "professionalism"... and that is my good name and my credibility. I don't wish to see it degraded any further.

Other vendors maintain a silence about certain companies, letting hundreds of customers get screwed. Where is the professionalism or honor in that?

The only lack of professionalism on my part that I can see, was in my endorsing a transmission vendor BEFORE I had learned everything I could about how transmissions and valve bodies work. It has been a horribly expensive education since then.

keep your chin up!!!!

gonzo

it's ok for tom to promote a co on this forum? and then after he has worked with that co and then see's what they are about, he can't change his mind and worn the reader's that he tried the product and found it to be sub par. we as one buyer can't give a very good overview of products. but if you are a installer you will see if things work as advertised or not on many vehicles, and if they don't you might have to eat $ to make the customer happy.

Tom,

Your comments regarding ATS are extremely unprofessional.

Slanderous statements like the ones made in your post will certainly not gain you any business.

This is not the first time you have publicly attacked a person or entity on this public forum.

There is more then one side to every story.

My experiences with ATS have been top notch and Professional.

Sorry to hear things didn't work out as you had hoped. Good business requires tough decisions, so cut your losses and don't look back. Its expensive to make mistakes, but its gets worse if not corrected.

Very professional post. No details regarding the territory agreement were revealed nor the specific disappointments in the product. In your post you truely seem to have a concern for the consumer, which is rare in this market and also greatly appreciated.

This thread would have definitely been shutdown had Tom not edited his first post. My feeling is it was very slanderous and unprofessional. It's ok now but people reading it in it's present form might not understand why it provoked some of the responses it did prior to his editing. Still can't figure out why Tom hasn't changed his website if he's so dissatisfied with the product when he's had "several months" to do so. Hope this thread stays here until we hear ATS's side of the story.
