Twins are almost done!

Full B1 vs STEROID B1

So moolie,

You ever get that purple palace transmission fixed? Think it will hold up or are you just going to break down and get a DTT through LaserBob?? :-laf

mike now if i'm not mistaken didn't u also get a twins tst program in that period

come on now don't be holding back on the info we know it

yeah transmission's been fixed over 2 weeks got it back and then bob had it for a week almost putting in twins and then i've dynod 2 times already with the twins and there is still some more power in there but when running them today it wasn't cooperating.

it's hard to get a dyno to take on my rig in anything other than 3rd gear but in order to achieve max boost i need to be in od. There lies a dilema and upon trying this we failed numerous times. I got in the truck to leave and saw the cel and then ran my code reader. Overboost and rail pressure and ecm comm error. The ecm error is there alot and doesn't turn the light on by itself. Now once the light is on what we have is another safety feature for christ sakes from banks, the six gun will not add pressure above 24,500 if the cel light is on. Normallly with the six gun u can boost it to like 27000. So once the code was thrown then no more runs after that time would be worth anything unless i had cleared those codes prior but this isn't the first time the dyno has disappointed and when it happened last time i knew there was more in there, and i said there was. I'm saying it again there is more in there guarantee it. I just have to figure out what approach is needed after getting help and advice from everyone who's been involved with the products on the rig so far. So once we get it all said and done then i'll post the numbers because when i posted xcell numbers before they were right people jumped to conclusions and i'm not going to do that again. Because almost everyone on these forums is an expert on my truck believe it or not. We are at a level with these trucks that's groundbreaking and that's the honest to god truth with these 3rd gens. We also have wasted a lot of money trying to find out what works and what doesn't. So now people are finally starting to understand what's going on with our situation and that we are serious about what we are doing. I'm not sure what that exactly is though i think it's something along the lines of adding hp until it explodes basically.

Who's they? You guys are all the same up there at Bob's. It's like you're a bunch of mad scientists working at Los Alamos and if you told us, then you'd have to kill us. sigh... lol

a lot of folks u wouldn't believe how many people discredited that product but last week when i threw down 579 with just the xcell and the injectors with the twins people were shocked like it couldn't happen but the next best thing they do when they are proven wrong is they try to discredit the source and over time they find out that the source was right all along and then they have a moment of clarity. especially dtr that web site is crazy i mean there is more white trash on that site then in the entire state of louisiana and alabama.

LOL that's true although I'd imagine it's endemic to all diesel peekup forums. We all have a little redneck in us to be into this hobby. Don't fight it buddy lol.

i know that most of my runs have been done with the od locked out for the most part. That's the best window for our rpm's to register on the dyno. I've done some in od and i've even seen it at 90 mph almost in 2nd gear the first time we went there. The guys who run it were more into race cars and they weren't hip on diesel pickups and laser bob was in canada doing some dtt thing. It was scary that day i didn't know what to think it was kinda gutwrenching but when mr bob got back we had him go over there and get them all on the same page and now it seems great. Check this out on my last run from the other day or one of the last runs, he broke down my hp to like 591. 0875 and then he broke down the rpm's to every 2. 5 rpm's and what the hp levels were along with torque. It's actually too much i mean for the average or even the above average guy it's more then u would ever even dream of knowing or wanting to know about. 1 run can be looked at for hours and hours literallly.

Well, I'm glad to hear that it's fixed. Sounds like the purple people took good care of you.

It's just hard to deal with others, because LaserBob's customer service and workmanship are second to none!

dukey lukey,

I don't think you are much of a redneck, maybe more like Bill Murray in Caddyshack. Didn't he end up with his arm in a brace on the golf course too? :-laf

yeah i can't believe people have had bad interactions with ats. To be honest i've always gotten well taken care of all the time with ats. I haven't always gotten along with all the people there 100% either but they did not let that get in the way of total customer satisfaction. I have always been impressed with them and also their products. I also have been impressed with the service laser bob has given me. I was worried that when i chose to get a purple beast instead of the dtt he would be a little standoffish but as a professional he didn't let it change anything and continued to help me in this quest for power like he had prior to my decision. I feel like i made some really good decisions on the approach to this vehicle and did my best to use good people and honest people. Laser bob has done me right no matter what, ats also has done me right no matter what, and paul at htt turbo is awesome his word is good as gold if he tells u he'll do something u don't have to question it, he sent me new cartridge for the killer b no problem and then that didn't work so he sent a sledpuller which was good, very good. Joe at ppe has kept his word to me. I know at this level things will go wrong no doubt about it and products will fail but i'm more worried about how they deal with the issue after it happens and how it's handled. That's where i try to pick and choose the best people around, i think i have done good.

didn't get a hold of those folks until 5:35

i called them today to get the scoop on it as well as what it is for install time and how long a guy has to wait in order to get it. I'm curious to find out i mean i thought they were open until 6:00 all this time and i was 5 min late so i left the message and i hope they get a hold of me or if not i'll call them bright and early i'm curious as to numbers they have seen with this beast. Hopefully i'll know soon enough.
