Does anyone have the wiring info for installing an ATS Commander into a 96? I'm helping a buddy resolve a wiring issue on is truck and he doesn't have the wiring info. He's already talked to ATS and was told they don't have the wiring information available for the older commanders. His version of the ATS commander predates the current 5 Star Commander info available on the ATS web site.

I have 2 of those on my '96. This is because ATS sent me a RH transmission instead of the RE and had to use 2 commanders to make it work. One for OD and one for lockup. I don't think I can find the instructions that came with it right away, but I can take a look and tell you what color wire to connect to. Even then, I don't know if that would be a help because I have a RH.

I cannot believe ATS would not have that info. I personally would not buy another transmission from them and I like 6 spd. manuals better anyway. The Dodge autos just cost too much to make them run right.

I appreciate the offer but if you don't have the instructions don't bother. We can crawl around under the dash and figure out the wiring (it is still connected) and figure out how it is connected. I was asking because we believe we either have a wiring harness problem, a bad PCM, or a bad commander module and were hesitant to take it to a dealer or shop to troubleshoot. His luck getting his truck serviced correctly has been terrible. I've been more fortunate with mine but the problems have been somewhat easier and I've a tendency to do the work myself unless it is something that requires either special tools or has a reputation for being difficult (like ball joints).

Yeah, I agree you'd think they would still have the information.
