As a general rule though, if EGTs are in check, then there is no reason to stress things any more than you have to. Lots of boost is not always what you want. I would strive to keep boost as low as possible while keeping EGTs in the range that you want them. If you're running 55+ lbs of boost with twins and your EGTs are still not in check, then you need to install a drive pressure gauge and tune accordingly:
Raise boost until either……
a. Drive pressure overtakes boost pressure.
b. Your head gasket blows.
c. You run out of nerve.
……. whichever occurs first.![]()

OT-OF-HERE!! said:but if you've changed your turbo and upgraded it then your boost control wiring plug is hanging loose as their is NO place for it to terminate in which case you are not getting the proper signal back to the ecm for boost. I have the Ind Injec plug which matches up to that wiring and makes the boost signal happy and maybe that's why I have 60psi of boost for my ATS twins and others don't. If I'm wrong I'm sure some others will slap me around and straighten out my thinking. Hope that helps. Pat![]()
