ATS exhaust manifold - your thoughts?

I'm thinking about gettin one. Who's running one? What are your thoughts? Are they worth the money? Do they do what they claim... . quicker spool, lower egts? How much lower temps are you seeing? Is there a better manufactur out there then ATS? (if so, need link) Thanks.

The ATS manifold for the 3rd gen is well worth it. Look at the passages for #4 ,#5 on the stocker then on the ATS. On my stock 05 I could notice a difference in the amount of pedal at cruise speed. Nothing dramatic but every little bit helps. It appears to me to be a higher quality casting then the HTT version.

I would never go back to stock. Should be ranked up with gauges in order of mods.

On my '97 I did notice a little better spooling of the turbo and slightly lower EGTs. Not a huge difference, but enough to notice. I replaced my stocker because it had shrunk.

The main reason why I installed one on my 96 was to prevent the head from cracking (from manifold shrinkage) Don't know if this can be a same problem with the 3rd gen trucks. ATS is worth it.

WOW thanks for the responses. You guys got me convinced. I'm going to do one. I just wanted to ask because no one ever mentions it when doing mods. But like you guys said, ever little bit helps.

the ats manifold is way better than stock, i run their 3-piece manifold with the center upside down with a turbo spacer for clearance, the stocker is tiny, havent compared it with the two piece designed for singles but im sure it is the same quality...

im not smart enough to figure out how to post picts but i havent really tried either, there is pictures on bully dogs site, but not of the engine, i will try on monday night to figure it out
