I'm looking to purchase a ATS Exhaust manifold for my 3rd gen truck. Any recommendations on a vendor? Price is important, but vendor satisfaction by others will be the determining factor. Thanks in advance for the input.
I think the ATS is very worthwhile if you're planning to upgrade the turbo and put some power down. Not worth spending the money on basically a stock truck especially if you stick with the stock turbo. I put one on my '03 and it greatly improves the airflow routing for cylinder 4 and 5 which is really poor on the stocker.
I bought mine directly from ATS. I think it was a little less than $450. 00 shipped. I bought it with the intention of upgrading the turbo in the future.
He's got great prices, but just as important, he is great to deal with. He has speedy service and he will take the time to talk to you if you want. I will be ordering my ATS manifold from him shortly.
Thanks to all for the suggestions. I ordered one shortly after my post. I wanted an ATS manifold because of the cast in lug for the pyro probe. I have a theory that part of the reason for such a wide range of reported exhaust temperature readings might have to do with slight variations in probe placement. It might be interesting to take a poll of users with the manifold (ATS), and like equiped trucks (Bombs). Lets see if their exhaust temps fall in a tighter range.
