Hello everyone. It seems a while back I read a thread where someone had found better fasteners/washers for the ATS 3 piece manifold. I've had mine on for quite some time now, and it seems the bolts start loosening up about every 5,000 miles. I was just wondering if there's a solution to that except for it being just another regular maintenance item. If anybody knows of a better way let me know.

Thanks

Shawn

That'd work, but my pickup had the manifold on it when I got it, so I don't have the stock stuff anymore. Though if that's the best solution I guess I'll go snag factory bolts/spacers from Cummins

Hi Shawn: I just installed my ATS Intake Manifold so I don't have any history of problems. I can tell you that I used silicone compound on the threads when I was mounting the manifold. With the vibrations of the Cummins I use a thread coumound on every threaded fastner I put into the block. Hope this helps, Dipstick

maybe mine's just a fluke, but I tighten the heck out of those bolts and they always seem to back out again. Although I haven't used any type of thread compound on the bolts, I'll have to try that this time and see if it helps.
