One thing for sure, the ATS improves exhaust routing of cylinders 4 and 5. On the stocker these are siamesed together then exit at 90* to the turbo. The ATS does a good job of fixing this.

Mr Bob's website isn't showing the manifold (coming up as page not found).

Another option is to call Piers. He even has them available ported and polished. If you saw them side by side you would see that a ported ATS is a thing of beauty compared to the stocker!

Thanks for all the replies on the ATS manifold. I am really tempted even though I have heard comments from some that there will be no noticable performance increase. I like well engineered parts, plus if it helps lower EGTs then that is worth alot.

After installing the Piers twins and a Piers ported ATS my cruise temps are 80* to 130* cooler with LESS boost. I believe this to be due, in part, to the ported ATS since I don't believe the HX-40's larger exhaust housing to be causing that large of a drop over my previous B1. If it flows well enough to drop cruise temps that far there has to be some performance gain when your fueled up. jm02

Gypsyman basically hit it, this mod won't add HP, but gives you room to run more fuel . . . and of course fuel = power :D

And like I mentioned earlier, unless you run the ATS in conjuction with a bigger turbo you probably won't notice much improvement.

Vaughn

I noticed an improvement once I got to a higher altitude. Once I got above around 3000 feet I could feel the difference. Once I got to 7000 feet I could really tell there was more air moving. At sea level I did not notice any difference at all. And before anyone asks, I did not have the TST PMCR hooked up at that time so I was not running any "extra" timing or fuel.

I bought directly from ATS.

Comes with the territory I suppose! It could be worse, a lot worse:) I just see it as an opportunity to build the truck I want.

Thanks for the info.
