It's definitely the way I recommend to go... I have 3 trucks and all three have ATS Diesel transmissions and upgrades.

My 99 CTD 4x4 off road truck has 295,000 miles all on ATS diesel never one problem.

My 04 CTD Dually hauler towing big trailers and heavy loads. . never one problem.

My 05 CTD 4x4 hauler towing a 25K triple axle race hauler from Calif to Michigan too many times to count... never one problem.

ATS Diesel Rocks!

So far I'm very satisfied with my setup from ATS. I've had the ATS Triple Lock Converter, Valve Body, and Controller in since the 02 was new. The truck had 10,000 miles on it at the time of installation. After driving the truck for awhile I knew the truck was a keeper and the investment would be well worth the money spent. The TC controller is a very nice addition to a slip-proof TC.

Had in truck for one year and 8500 miles. Trans is working OK. I have had some concern re heat in stop and go traffic and slow winding uphill roads. ATS has been helpful and put me onto a good dealer to help me with an external cooler.
Lessons learned:
Do your homework. Learn about the different options ATS offers.
Have a top ATS dealer install.
Search the forums and read the pros and con.
Best,
Runk
