ATS Transmission Information

Need Information On ATS Transmission, has anyone bought and installed them self, one of "ATS"performance transmissions? if so what was the deal with the warranty? did you get one? Thanks for info in advance.

Knowing Clint, I'm sure you would have a warranty. You would also have a GREAT transmission! The ATS Stage IV is the best thing I've ever bought for my truck. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I believe they have done the most thorough job of engineering of any of the aftermarket Trans. companies. They are family owned and operated and are great people.

I did. Got a complete transmission, sent in my old one and did the swap myself. A few months later I blew out reverse. Called ATS, they made arrangements with a local shop here to check the trans. The local shop did a complete rebuild of it and now it works better than when I first got it. Shifts are very positive and I am very satisfied with the trans. Bottom line is ATS stood by their transmission and paid for the complete repair. So no one needs to ask, problem was a defective valve in the VB.

ATS is top notch.

I abuse my ATS transmission on a daily basis, putting 450hp to the ground!

Now with out being Bias (spelling?) can any of you guys with ATS tell me what the diference is between ATS and DTT the trans its self not the converter? A few of my buddys have DTTs, they shift great and they bark gears. Fill Me in Please

However if you really want to know what the ATS has inside the front and rear cases, here is a Thread I posted when I got back from getting my ATS installed in Denver last year.



In it, I describe some (but not all) of the engineering changes the guys at ATS made in my 47RH. They heat-treat, re-engineer, cyrogenically harden, and outright manufacture many parts to make the ATS Stage IV able to handle high HP & Torque. Also, call Clint!
