welp i finished up my installation tonight, wlel almost, need to mount drive shafts and put fluid in it, but other than that its done took me about 14 total hours, not bad since 13 of them were by myself, at first i had some doubts that it would actually work, but now i'm glad i finished and saved some money over having a shop install it, guess i should update my sig now anyways, had to post

nope :) just beat the hell out of it with a rubber mallet, only took about 30 minutes to get out, and about 15 to get back in, surprised it went in as well as it did, i think the hardest part was lining up the tc to the flexplate, had to back it out a few times, and trying to hold up the transfer case, and bolt it up to the transmission, thats a heavy Bi#$@ but anyways, I'm gonna finish it up tonight after work, and go for a test drive :) i can't wait, anyways later

Yeah, rubber mallets are great! You can really "persuade" things to move with one!

What did you raise the transmission with?

a tranmission jack adapter with a 3 1/2 ton jack, only problem was fitting it under my truck because it was about 30 inches tall total with everything on there, anyone know how many quarts it takes i put 13 already and its still low and no gas stations have atf +3 so i have to wait tomorrow until my work is open dang, i started it today put it in neutral, let it circulate all the fuild and i just kept adding, haha i went to reverse and drive, felt like it was direct drive, dunno if that will go away when i get more fluid but it felt like 3rd gear when i hit the gas for the 5 feet i moved, like it did with the stocker, if it does the same thing i'm gona be so ******, hopefully not though, anyways i have the double deep pan, est of how many quarts i need? at least 13. 5 in there now, and still not on the dip stick after its running

well i researched that its about 17 to refill a stock one, so i'm guessing since i have the double deep pan about 21? i guess i'll add 4 more and check it, seems like an awful lot haha o well

Sounds like my set up. I see you already answered the additional fill questions. I wasgoing to add, "Add another 4 qts".

I changed the fluid a few months later and was afraid I was going to overrun a 5 gal drain bucket.
