Ya know Texas used to be an independant country, so I guess that makes my kids (8th Generation Texans) foreign nationals. COOL!!!

Bob, I do not agree with racism, national pride is another matter all together. I agree with Bill where I can make a good decision and still buy American, if the American product is not good I will buy from outside our borders. Guess I am a bit wishy washy on it, but I do try to do my part.

Bob, you should reconsider the post with your picture and delete it.

I try to buy as close to home as possible, support the local economy if possible even if it costs a bit more. Perhaps if more folks felt that way our trade deficit wouldn't be half the GNP.

This Canadian slur is totally LOW BUDGET... Shame on you.

Bill, Shanti, Stefan, Vinnie, Darrin, Piers, Louise, Al, and all the BD folks I don't know..... I apologize.

Joe

Damn Canadians first they steal  the gold medal from the Russians (OK so they shared it) now they are providing us with the best in diesel technology... the nerve..... what gives them the right? God Bless America... ... :D :D :D :D

Darren

P. S. when all is equal I try to buy American... ... That's why I have a $25k + (and counting) Harley ... ... . Oh wait most parts are made oversea's and everything is metric... ... . Yeah like I said I try... ...

I'm beginning to think perhaps some of you guys don't know how to read. There is absolutely no Canadian slur in my statement. If this wasn't a transmission thread most of you would probably say you prefer to buy American and gripe about how we are losing our jobs abroad. Bunch of hypocrites.

Both trannies are great. Call me a patriot or whatever but I prefer to buy American. Canada is a heck of a lot better than Japan or Taiwan, but it still isn't American.

A transmission thread turned into a Canada/USA fight! Yikes.

I will reserve comment on that battle but I will put in a plug for Bill.

I had a problem with my pcm that I thought was transmission related. Bill helped me out, sent me parts like a new VB to try and a PCM to try at his own expense. He walked me through about 20 different diagnostic checks to help me solve my problem. Even gave me his home phone number to call because I could only work on my truck in the evening sometimes. Maybe a bit of flag waving here... ..... but he sure did help me out with my problem, which had nothing at all to do with any of his DTT stuff. So after all of this, I am a happy Canadian.

Hey Swamp,

Does this mean that you and I can't be friends anymore?:( :{ And what about Jason? Can I still be friends with him?

How can we not like the country that brought us hockey?Oo.

The real issue is aftermarket transmisssion upgrades vs Dodge OEM transmissions. I have a stock '97 auto, a 2001 ETH-DEE w/ e-brake and EZ, and my own 2001 auto in the family. Today I am so glad I bought an automatic transmission. The aftermarket crowd is really doing a job for us. What a difference! Now, I'm ready for an e-brake and EZ. Got my recall done this morning - took the dealer about 10 minutes.

Across the big pond..... 0.02 cents

As I'm currently based on the other side of the big pond in Europe - reliability longevity and customer service were high on my shopping list of must haves.

I have no complaints with DTT. It's a daily driver, will pull my slide in or the heavy duty 4x4 vehicle trailer without a problem and I've covered 21k problem-free miles so far. :)

Don't sweat it FD. You know us Canadian love everyone! We even love beaver... ... one of our national symbols. Made it on our nickel!
