A little useless info

At around 1am this morning, my neighbor called me and asked me where I was going. He of course woke me up, so I rushed outside and low and behold the freaking truck is gone. So if anyone see it, immediately contact the police. It has a big dent in the passenger's side door, a large scrape down the passengers side. It also had a Yamaha Raptor 660 chained in the back of the truck. Here is a pick of the truck:

the "Land of Bikini's" is Charleston SC where I'm doing software development for the navy. Still no word from the police... . hopefully they will find it soon.

That sucks!

Hope you find it in one piece... .

You didn't hear them fire it up and drive off? Your neighbor must be a lighter sleeper than you! :D

I'm an insomniac so I only sleep a little each night and when I sleep, nothing wakes me up... . about the only thing I can here is my cell ringing for some reason, I don't hear normal alarm clocks either. My alarm to wake up is a combinatin of the alarm on the cell and a piece of software that starts playing an MP3 at a certain time at full blast... . I'm sure the neighbors love hearing Rob Zombie being blasted at 6am.....

As for Adam my neighbor hearing it, he had just gone to bed... . and wasn't asleep yet. I'm usually up at this time of night, and for some reason last night I decided to crash a half hour earlier than normal... .

Another thing is, the apartment building that I'm in is just off the expressway and has semi's going up and down it all hours of the day and night... . kinda lulls the senses I guess.

Update: just got off the phone with the low life insurance company. They are claiming that none of the contents of my truck are covered under my full coverage policy. Basically they are going to screw me on the value of my truck and screw me on the contents as well. It's time to hire the dirties lawyer I can find to get this resolved. I'm ultra ****** now.

Insurance companies pi$$ me off too. There more than glad to take your money but when it comes to dishing it out they will find some lame excuse.

Morph, The ins co's will try to BS you in that they can pay you a low amount. Tell them to "Replace it then" for what you want to give me! Hopeyou have reciepts for anything that you did to the truck. Don't let them Roll you. Hope you catch the a**holes before the cops do. Kick them in the ba**s once for me! Chris

Hope you find it, and in good shape. Most likely they wanted the Yamaha that you had in the back. We had many trucks stolen that had "toys" that were in the back. Most insurance companies so called "full coverage" will only cover what is part of the truck, like bumpers and such. Any lose belongs, like CDs and Yamahas are not. It depends on your policy. Canopys and campers are not covered unless you get them added to the policy.

It would be advisable for everyone to sit down with their insurance agents and go over your policy to see what is covered and what is not. I found out that I did not have rental car coverage after my accident. I now know my policy and everything that is in my truck is covered. If a flying saucer falls on the truck, it will be covered.

I had a Yamaha YZ stolen out of the back of my truck a few years ago. Since it had a motor, the insurance company said it should have a policy for itself. If it was a bicycle, it would have been covered.

chances are your truck is in the closest set of woods with the four wheeler gone. those idiots probably only took the truck because it was chained in. (needed a quiet place to spend some time getting it off)

total bummer dude. about five years ago i had my four wheeler stolen right out of our garage. the Ins. told us the same thing "you have to have a seperate policy for ANY motor vehicle. " that included riding mowers, and compact tractors.

FYI: i have State Farm, they have since changed the home owners policy to cover these things without a MV writer. :D
