We are shooting for 5 pm for the finals, but weather or unforseen problems may push it back.

LOL, yah, so my 5pm question was a bit "Left Field"...

I'll have to poke Brian a little bit for some more of my noob Q's.

Merrick

Sled Puller, the roads are marked that way so they can find their way home.

Actually the markings are references to the county seat.

850 n is 8. 5 miles north of the county seat.

450w is 4. 5 miles west of the seat.

Now, who knows why it is called a 'seat' ////

You're looking at the map wrong - turn it 90 degrees. :D

Chris

The roads are marked from the center line or the county seat, I think however its the county seat and work their way out. The first road 1 mile north that is running east and west is 100N and so on to the county line. The same goes for the north south roads. 1 mile out is 100 e or 100w depending which dircetion you are headed. It tells you the hundred block of the road and which side of the center you happen to be on.

Sled Puller,

I live in Indiana's first city. It sits on a bend in the Wabash River which is the dividing line between Indiana and Illinois. The city was laid out by using the river so one would think that Illinois would be west of Indiana. But it's not because of the river bend. So when you drive "west" on Main Street toward Illinois you are actually traveling NNW by the compass! Anyone who visits here is totally confused.

To answer your question...

The French were drunk when they layed out the city, county, and state!!!

Trent

It shouldn't bother me too much. Unless there are mountains running North/South on the west, I am fubar anyway. I did not come equipped with an internal compass.

That water is going to be DISTILLED right??? Not some calcuim/rusty chunky monkey pee at room temp?? Slightly chilled to 35 degress would be nice and add it just before the pulls. I am sure the DHRA wouldn't have a problem with that???

Craig

Distilled sure.

If everyone is running the same water, ambient temp shouldn't be a problem, eh?

Not sure why you are concerned though, since water injection is not allowed in the STREET class.

Does this mean you are committing to Pro Street?Oo.

It doesn't matter what class I pull in I am donating my money to the big dogs so what the hell maybe I will run in the twin class, it is not like I have not run/donated before... ... .

I can't afford twin blondes let alone twin turbos.....come to think about it I would rather have the twin blondes than the turbos anyway. Twins are NOT in my future any time soon, of either kind... ... unfortunately
