Attitude vs Horn

So tell me what you guys think. There are two mods I wanna to do to the truck (well, there are more than two, but right now there are two for the purpose of this discussion ).



Edge Attitude or train horns.



I can only choose one. I know there isn't an eta from Edge, but I don't want to rush into the horns then find out Edge releases their box 5 days later.



They both have their good points and high fun factors, the difference is the horns I can get now, the box... I gotta wait... and I don't know how long... BUT, nothing beats toasting some ricer off a green light , then again, I'm sure blasting those things would be quite amusing as well... . I don't know. .



Your thoughts?

Check out eBay for Grovers or Hadleys. You don't need a train horn, either of those is plenty. (and a whole lot cheaper)



Just my opinion of course.

you can get Grovers or Hadleys at the local truck yard here for ~$40-50...



horns are a good thing, but I'd rather have more bite vs. more bark!

I vote for more power. You can always use more power but are limited on the times that you can use the horn. Plus, the horns can be added cheaply down the road.

Well he did say the power he wants isn't for sale yet. That's why I voted for cheap horns. I got a set of black Grovers for just under $30. I"ve got them on my old truck. (pics in Readers Rigs)

A couple of days ago there was a set of Hadley 1609's on ebay for $38 bucks... . good deal and those are some loud horns. .

I picked up my Grover from a big rig junk yard for $35.

It required a rebuild kit... . only $6 from www.ricksontruck.com

I got a 12V air compressor off e-bay for $45.

I got a 1/2 gal air tank and 120psi pressure switch locally for 'bout $40.

I got misc. air hose and fittings @ local Car Quest for about $10-15.

Do any of the places ya'll are getting the used horns do mail orders? I had a pair of hadleys, but give them to a buddy who helps work on my truck. Now I want some grovers to use when the trains will be too much.



If you are really interested in train horns, go for it. They are a blast, but you do have to be careful where you blow em'. I got mine from IOWA80.com, I think they are on sale now for 149. 95. They do require a 3/8 air line and larger tank to really open em' up and get the full effect.
